Inorganic chemistry makes use of the entire periodic table to discover and develop new molecules and materials, driven by both fundamental curiosity and application. At Lancaster, the inorganic chemistry team at Lancaster enjoys excellent, recently expanded research facilities and has expertise in coordination, organometallic, cluster and supramolecular chemistry, and catalysis. Our work at the heart of the discipline sees strong interactions with other groupings at Lancaster and beyond, as we use our expertise to address challenges in synthesis and catalysis, energy conversion and storage, and to develop new molecule-based materials for multiple applications including sensing.
