Furness College JCR Exec invites food bank donations for the Olive Branch
Furness JCR are collecting food donations for the Lancaster based charity, The Olive Branch.
The donation drop-off point for The Olive Branch is located in Furness College Foyer, and will remain open until 22 June 2026 when donations will be taken to the food bank to be sorted and distributed to some of the most vulnerable people and families in the city.
What items can be donated - unopened:
- Tins (e.g. curry, chilli con carnie, pies, fruit, soup, corned beef, ham, custard, tomatoes, baked beans)
- Food (e.g. biscuits, crisps, multipacks including cereal bars/cakes, jam, peanut butter, long-grain rice, pasta, pasta sauces, microwave rice pouches, cooking oil
- Drinks (e.g. coffee, tea, hot chocolate, cordial, juice (long-life, non fridge), long-life milk
- Extras (e.g. Toilet rolls, washing powder, shower gel, soap, toothpaste, shampoo, deodorant, sanitary products, toothbrushes, nappies)
