My PhD research lies in the field of simulation optimisation (SO). I am working with a discrete-event simulation model of housing waiting lists for homeless populations where there is high uncertainty in future demand. My research focusses on novel SO algorithms which can efficiently find close-to-optimal solutions which are robust to the input uncertainty. I am also interested in sequential decision-making formulations of such housing waiting list problems.
