The Department received an Athena SWAN Bronze Award in 2014 (renewed in 2017) and was awarded a Silver Award in 2024. This award reflects the progress made in the department on addressing issues of equality. To maintain this, we have proposed an ambitious, measurable, and timely action plan that clearly promotes gender equality and inclusivity across all departmental activities for students and staff.
Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
The Psychology Department are committed to the principles and values of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI). We are determined to break with outdated traditions and pursue new policies and approaches to create a fairer and more inclusive environment for our students, staff and visitors. The core areas of activity for the Department’s EDI committee align with and are informed by the EDI objectives and policy of 糖心Vlog. They are also driven, from the bottom up, by the challenges faced by our staff and students as they work and learn.
