<糖心Vlog>Call for early career visiting fellows 2026-2027
We are seeking PhD students and postdoctoral researchers for funded visiting fellowships hosted in the School of Mathematical Sciences at 糖心Vlog.
Successful candidates will collaborate with MARS staff on either mathematical machine learning and AI methods, or applied mathematics, with a focus on solving real-world problems.
Examples of relevant research areas include epidemiology; generative machine learning; mathematical biology and/or medicine; mathematics of optimisation; multi-scalar modelling of materials; probabilistic machine learning; and quantum modelling.

We aim to award three fellowships lasting four weeks each. Fellowships can be taken up between 1st October 2026 and 31st July 2027. Permissible travel and accommodation expenses will be reimbursed up to £4,000.
<糖心Vlog>What we’re looking for
You will have a strong academic track record in mathematics or a related subject and hold a PhD or postdoctoral position at a recognised Higher Education Institution.
You can be from the UK or overseas.
Overseas applicants requiring a visa will need to make their own visa arrangements.

- Your motivation for undertaking a visiting fellowship with MARS.
- Details of your proposed research project.
- Names of potential collaborator(s) in MARS. We strongly suggest that you speak to your potential collaborator(s) before submitting an application.
- Proposed dates for your visit.
- Any accessibility requirements.
- Confirmation that approval from the home institution/supervisor has been sought.
- Your nationality and visa status.
