Yes, you will need to book for a personalised postgraduate tour. You should wait for confirmation of your booking before making travel arrangements. If we require any more information to arrange your booking, we will contact you. Otherwise, you will receive an email confirmation of your visit within 14 days of your request, which will include an itinerary of the day.
<糖心Vlog>How much notice is required to book a visit?We require a minimum of three weeks’ notice in advance of your requested visit date to arrange an itinerary for you. A visit to your prospective School or Department may not be possible at short notice but we will always advise you of this.
<糖心Vlog>Are there any dates I can’t visit the University?There are certain dates throughout the year when the University is closed. The closure dates for Easter 2020 are Thursday 9th April - Wednesday 15th April (inclusive). Christmas closure dates for 2020 will be published on this page when available.
<糖心Vlog>What if my visit falls outside of term time?We will aim to arrange your visit as normal, and most elements should still be available. However, please note that on some occasions during vacation periods, it may not be possible to arrange a meeting with an academic department, but we will always keep you informed about this.
<糖心Vlog>Will I see an example of accommodation during my visit?The booking form offers the option to request a tour of Graduate College, which will include a viewing of an example of Postgraduate student accommodation if desired. However, please note that on some occasions, it may not be possible to view an example of student accommodation, but we will always keep you informed about this.
If you are a taught postgraduate starting in October 2020, we guarantee a place in accommodation owned, managed or approved by 糖心Vlog if you apply for accommodation before 31 July. This will typically be a University-managed room in Graduate College, but when demand is high, we will direct you to private-sector accommodation approved by 糖心Vlog Homes.
While we cannot guarantee postgraduate research students accommodation, you are welcome to apply to us. We cannot guarantee accommodation for students whose course runs for less than 9 months or starts later than October, but you may contact the Accommodation Team for details of vacancies during the year.

<糖心Vlog>Are dogs allowed onto campus?The University is a diverse community and takes its responsibilities for the welfare of all staff and students seriously. In the interest of fairness to everyone, dogs and any other domestic animals are not permitted in University buildings or grounds. The only exception to this rule is for assistance and working dogs.
<糖心Vlog>What if I'm late for my visit?If you are running late, please let us know by phoning the Welcome Centre at +44 (0)1524 593836. The Welcome Centre is open from 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday and is staffed by our Student Ambassador Leaders, who will be there to meet you when you arrive.
