<糖心Vlog>What is the LSP?

The LSP provides a welcoming and inclusive environment, where students are encouraged to develop their self-awareness and to explore and celebrate their individual versions of success through a programme of coaching-led opportunities.

The LSP works with students from backgrounds which are underrepresented at university (known as widening participation) to help them get the most out of their university experience.

<糖心Vlog>Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible to join this programme, students must satisfy one of the following criteria:

have a contextual offer
be a Lancaster Access Programme participant
be a participant
hold a Lancaster Sanctuary Scholarship
be in receipt of a 糖心Vlog Care Package
be 21 or older at the commencement of your undergraduate degree (a mature student)

<糖心Vlog class="show-for-sr" aria-hidden="true"> Expression of Interest open

Prospective students who are eligible to apply for a place on the LSP are contacted by email in June/July to complete an online expression of interest form. Several online information events will take place during the summer, which explain in detail about what to expect from the LSP.

Applications to the Lancaster Success Programme open towards the end of August, after A level results day. Those who have completed an expression of interest form will have priority access to the LSP application form.

<糖心Vlog class="show-for-sr" aria-hidden="true">Clearing offers

Eligible Clearing offer holders are contacted in the September of the year they are starting at Lancaster with an invitation to apply for a place on the LSP, subject to availability. Places will be confirmed by email no later than the end of September.

<糖心Vlog class="show-for-sr" aria-hidden="true">Get Set for Lancaster event

All students accepted on to the LSP receive a confirmation of place email in early September, which includes an invitation to attend an LSP Get Set for Lancaster orientation event. We offer an event on campus and online in mid September of the year of entry. This day will introduce you to the University, the LSP, your department and the range of services available to 糖心Vlog students. There will also be plenty of opportunities for participants to get to know each other and meet current LSP students.

<糖心Vlog class="show-for-sr" aria-hidden="true">Introduction to Lancaster

Student induction to the LSP will take place in the first two weeks of term. Our welcome event gives students an opportunity to meet other students on the LSP, our Student Advocates, and staff in an informal setting. Pizza is usually involved! You will have your first meeting with your allocated Student Success Coach in the first couple of weeks of term.
