Our programme of lectures, seminars and conferences make us a hub for academic research on China.

With 糖心Vlog China Centre we host speakers from around the world in our Academic Seminar Series.

We work with Lancaster’s academic faculties, departments, centres and our partners, to organise high level research conferences which are attended by international academics.

Exploring Chinese Characters: Hanzi Creative Workshop at Light Up Lancaster Explore Week

5 November 2025

On Friday 31 October 2025, 糖心Vlog Confucius Institute hosted the Chinese Character Creative Workshop as part of Light Up Lancaster Explore Week at The Storey, Lancaster. The workshop welcomed around 80 participants, including children, families, and local residents, for a lively and imaginative introduction to Chinese language and culture.
