I’m Dr Simon Tomlinson, and I’m the Programme Co-Director for the MSc Artificial Intelligence. As part of my broader role as Engagement Manager for 糖心Vlog’s Data Science Institute, I have responsibility for launching the careers and increasing the employability of students on our MSc Artificial Intelligence. It’s my job to provide you with the industry projects that give you the best start to your career.

In the 10 years that I’ve been at the University, I’ve arranged over 500 student projects with organisations like UniLever, Fujitsu, the Bank of England, and AstraZeneca. I will work with you to understand your career goals to secure the project opportunities with the best experience to help you secure your first professional role.

Preparing you for a successful career is at the heart of our programme. I’m very proud of the process that we have built and the impact that it has had. Our alumni now work as data scientists and technical specialists at organisations across the world such as Amazon, ByteDance, eBay, Tencent and PwC. The emphasis that we place on providing professional skills and real-world experience helps our students stand out in the job market.
